Bibliography of all articles in Isis and Osiris
on the History of Human Science
1970-1998
University of Colorado--Boulder
This is a bibliography that
was prepared for a volume that Forum for the
History of Human Sciences, an interest group affiliated with the History of Science Society, proposed for
the University of Chicago Press. While
the Press did not accept the Forums propsed volume, one result of the proposal
was this bibliography of all articles published in the human science in Isis and Osiris between 1970-1998.
As
the attached bibliography demonstrates, human science encompasses many
different scientific disciplines.
Psychology, anthropology, eugenics, and sociology are all well
represented, as are the medical arts.
But Isis has also published
articles on social statistics, criminology, economics and other disciplines
that have received less historical attention.
If the bibliography demonstrates nothing else, it should show that there
is a firm foundation for further work in the history of the human sciences.
